Call for Artists & Creatives — Dance People: The Gathering

Join us for Dance People: the gathering, the final celebration of Creative Europe Project, SHIFT in Lyon, 19-21 June 2026.

We invite artists, researchers, architects, and social thinkers , whose work engages with space, community, and shared action to apply. SHIFT is rooted in questioning spatial hierarchies, dissolving the distance between performers and audiences, and creating new formats of expression that move from visual aesthetics toward aesthetics of action.

We are looking for proposals that:

• explore collective presence and participation,

• challenge conventional uses of space,

• open new forms of dialogue between artists, citizens, and communities,

• reflect values of generosity, care, and togetherness.

Artists from across Europe and the Mediterranean are encouraged to apply.

The project is led by Cie Omar Rajeh & Maqamat (France), Fondazione Fabbrica Europa per le arti contemporanee (Italy), Albania Dance Meeting (Albania). In association with France Travail Scènes et Images- Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (France), Beit El Raqs (Lebanon), Teatri Kombetar Eksperimental Kujtim Spahivogli (Albania).
