Improvised Encounters is a 30-minute live collective creation bringing together 5 to 6 artists from different disciplines (dance, music, text, visual arts), unfolding entirely in the moment and without rehearsals.

The session is entirely improvised, begins at 0 minutes and ends at 30.

Invited Artists for Session #3:  Youssef Hbesich (Percussions & Rhythm), Ziad Ahmadie (Oud Musician & Composer), Benjamin Capelier (Cook), Yanka (Rapper), Nunzio Perricone (Dancer).

Yanka is an unconventional artist blending rap, pop, and electro, known for her joyful yet provocative stage presence and openly political lyrics. Her single Pétasse en colère, created with King Doudou, strengthened her reputation on alternative scenes.

She has performed alongside major rap artists such as Booba, Médine, and Fonky Family, while remaining a regular presence on experimental stages and festivals. After her EP BBVNR (2025), she is preparing her debut album for early 2026, again in collaboration with King Doudou.

Youssef Hbesich is an oriental percussion specialist who began performing in childhood and later studied philosophy and musicology, researching rhythms across cultures. He developed a teaching approach combining traditional repertoire with contemporary techniques and has taught at major institutions in Palestine and Galilee while leading workshops internationally.

Since 1998, he has collaborated closely with oud master Ahmad Al Khatib. Performing across oriental, jazz, classical, and contemporary scenes, he has appeared at venues including the Kennedy Center, Olympia, Vienna Philharmonic Hall, Cologne Philharmonie, and Cairo Opera House, while also composing for theatre and film and recording with international artists.

Nunzio Perricone trained in ballet and contemporary dance at the Rome Opera Theater before launching an international career. He performed with Cirque du Soleil and Dragone Entertainment, and danced with companies including I’MPerfect Dancers and River North Dance Company (Chicago).

In 2017, he founded Eleven Dance Company, creating works presented at major international festivals across Europe and Asia. He developed site-specific and cross-disciplinary projects for institutions such as the National Gallery in Prague and Arter Museum in Istanbul, and performed in international productions including The Four Seasons (touring India) and the opera Alessio in Florence.Since 2021, he’s also a performer with Maqamat Dance Theater, currently touring with Dance People.

Ziad Ahmadie is a oud player, singer, composer, and educator who began his career in various music fields in 1992. He composed soundtracks for 12 cinematic films, 20 TV series, more than 15 documentaries and many theatrical shows ranging from experimental theatre to contemporary dance shows. He published 3 albums of his compositions and arrangements. He travelled to many prestigious festivals in Europe and Arab countries. He taught music in schools and universities and held many workshops for different purposes, ranging from Educational to entertainment.

Benjamin Capelier studied political science and history at the Sorbonne before starting his career in a communications agency in Paris. After moving to Lyon, he shifted to cooking, completing internships during the opening of Café Sillon and at the restaurant of Christian Têtedoie.

He soon opened his first restaurant as a self-taught chef, founding Curnonsky in Croix‑Rousse, which he ran for just over two years before moving to Place Sathonay to open Arvine. Today, Arvine has evolved into a new version of Curnonsky, where he works solo, dividing his time between kitchen and dining room with a strong focus on wine.
