In
this creation, Omar Rajeh looks into the body; more precisely, he attempts
to deconstruct, alienate, re-discover, and question our perception of the human
body system today. Highlighting different body parts and constituents, the work
re-thinks the mechanism, qualities and dynamics of the living installation. The
body is seen in opposition to its virtual, still framed image, and the space
that envelops it. The body is within architecture.
The innovative guitarist,
composer and oud player Mahmoud Turkmani, who is considered a renovator and
bridge-builder between contemporary Western-classical and Arabic-traditional
music, will write the music composition. The composition will
be interpreted live with the Contralto Fadia Tomb El-Hage, who is considered by the
international press one of the most beautiful voices of the Arab world.
